Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has revealed one of its largest partnership promotions rounds in the City, with three made up this year.
The US firm has promoted capital markets lawyer Aseet Dalvi, tax lawyer Jennifer Maskell and M&A specialist Nallini Puri in London.
None of the three trained at the firm, with Maskell starting out her career at Allen & Overy. Dalvi was an associate in the Toronto offices of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt before moving to Sullivan & Cromwell, while Puri worked in legacy Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co.
The three form part of Cleary’s 13-strong promotions round. Last year the firm promoted just one City lawyer out of eight worldwide. No City lawyers were made up in 2015 and 2014.
Five lawyers have been made partner in New York, while two have been promoted in Washington DC.
Paris has been joined by two new members in litigation and corporate, with one lawyer promoted in Brussels.
