Tim Pole prosecutes fly tipper

A serial fly-tipper has been sentenced to 10 months in prison.

Grant Gilham of Brynstone Road, Waltham Cross, admitted five counts of dumping household waste and was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday, September 28.

Tim Pole of No5 Barristers’ Chambers prosecuted on behalf of North Hertfordshire District Council.

The case was originally brought before Stevenage Magistrates’ Court by North Hertfordshire District Council (NHDC) who also acted on behalf of Stevenage Borough Council and East Herts Council on Friday 17 March.

In an area-wide crackdown, other local councils are now warning fly-tippers that they could face a similar punishment.
